The sad story

The story so far...

I purchased the car during November 2007 and used it as my regular commute until the MOT was up in July 2008. I realised that for the MOT it needed two chassis legs and decided to use this summer, with the help of my father, to strip the car, put it on a rotisserie, weld, fix, paint and restore this vehicle for my continued personal use.

As we took it apart though, it became apparent that there had been many repairs performed to the body of the car -quite a few bodges that hid other damage and had sped up the deterioration of other panels. Once the car was naked it was clear that a lot of time and money would need to be spent and this was deemed uneconomical to continue -for the amount I would spend on parts, a much better Minor could be purchased.

Due to the body being the only fault with the car, I am now left with a garage full of Morris Minor parts. Some of the parts have been refurbished during those rainy days ready to fit on the repaired car, some are new and most are in their original pre-restored condition.

As I am now left with the parts safely stored but no car for them to go back on, I am selling them all -this is to retrieve some of my expenses but also to help preserve Britain's motoring heritage. For ease I created this simple site and hope it helps you to find that vital part!
